From Monday 23rd May, the Milner Street Courtyard area will be closed to parents. A safe fire escape route for pupils will be kept open only.
Please can all parents arrange to collect pupils from Classes 4 LDy (Miss Dyer),
4 CBr (Mrs Brown) and 4 DG (Mr Godsall) from the main Junior Yard. All pupils will be brought out onto the Junior yard at the end of the day to await parents collecting them.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
Admissions Waiting Lists
If you were not successful in gaining a place for St. Andrews Primary School Nursery or Reception classes for September 2016 please note that Newport Admissions Team keep the waiting list open until 30th September 2016. They will write to all parents before this date to ask them if they wish to remain on the waiting list until August 2017.
Please note that Newport Admissions Team (Civic Centre) will end all in-year waiting lists on 31st August 2016. So if a child is on the waiting list now, they would be removed from the waiting list unless a new application is received. Parents can now apply for a September 2016 place; so if you require a place apply now and you will be added to the list for September and will remain on the waiting list until August 2017.
REMINDER: Health and Safety on site
Please remember that, as stated in our school handbook for parents:
Bicycles on School Grounds
The Governing Body has agreed a policy that does not permit bicycles to be ridden on school grounds. If your child has a trike or scooter please ensure that these are wheeled to the school gate, or better still, left at home. Adults collecting children are to wheel bicycles in a similar manner.
Dogs
For health and safety reasons the Council and Education Authority have stated that dogs are not to be brought onto school premises; unless the dog is a guide dog, supporting a blind person.
