The best attendance awards for a class attendance total last week went to:

Class 2SH in Foundation Phase with 98.4%

Class 4MS in Key Stage 2 with 99.2%

Headlice

Please continue to check your childrens hair for unwanted visitors. The children work very closely with each other and this gives head lice the chance to spread very easily. Advice and treatment of head lice can be sought from any pharmacy.

ATTENDANCE

Reminder:

Please remember that appointments for routine medical appointments and dental appointments should be made for times after school or in school holidays as much as possible.

If emergency appointments (doctors / dentists / opticians / hospital) occur then we are only able to authorise half a day with a medical mark in the register.

If a child has a morning appointment they should be in school in the afternoon if they are well enough to attend.

Primary Cluster Concert at Lliswerry High School

Thursday 1st December at 6.00 pm

Parents are invited to join us at Lliswerry High School to watch the children from both our FP and KS 2 choirs perform.

Please return permission slips asap.

Note: Children need to wear full school uniform including black shoes.

After School Clubs

ADVANCE NOTICE:

All after-school clubs will be finishing for this term on Friday 2nd December (this is due to Christmas activities taking place). Clubs will start back again in the New Year.

School finishing time

This is a polite reminder to all parents that school finishes at 3.15pm - all pupils are to be collected by this time.

We do not provide a child care service for children who are not collected in school - our late club with Miss Hughes is for emergency situations only. We are having a number of children who are not being collected until after 3.40pm on a daily basis.

If parents have children in other schools to collect first please contact our Out-of-school Childcare providers who run a childcare provision from 3.15 - 5.30pm in our canteen building. There is a small charge for this service.
