Attendance winners - congratulations!!

The best attendance awards for a class attendance total last week went to:

Class 1MH in Foundation Phase with 97.9%

Class 6JM in Key Stage 2 with 97.2%

Nursery/LRB Sports Days

Please note - Nursery morning and afternoon and our Learning Resource Base classes will be holding their own Sports Day events on Milner Street Playing Field - see separate information letters from Miss Jones/Mrs Morgan (Nursery) and Mrs Harrod (LRB).

LRB Sports Day is Friday 7th July - 1.30pm Milner Street Field.

Nursery Sports Day is Wednesday 5th July - Milner Street Field.

We are hoping that the sun will be shining on us for our Sports Days this year.

Please ensure that your child wears appropriate PE kit including trainers/daps.

It is important that you apply sun cream at home before coming to school. Remember a hat and plenty of water to drink!

Collection of children from school

Please can we remind parents that all pupils from Nursery to Year 4 must be collected by a named adult (this adult must be on the emergency contact list). If an older brother or sister is collecting a pupil, they must be over 14 years of age and parents must sign a permission slip for this to happen. These permission slips are available from either office.

If someone different is collecting your child, please inform the school in advance - we are having quite a few children being collected by unknown people which results in us having to phone parents for permission before we can release pupils from school.

These procedures are in place to ensure all pupils stay safe - thank you for your cooperation in following the procedures.

Year 6 - important

Y6 pupils attending the LHS transition day on Wednesday 5th July need to arrive there for an 8.30am start and they will finish at 3pm. Please can pupils go straight to High School.

Cost 20.00

Please note the deadline for paying a contribution towards this trip is Friday 7th July. At the moment we have 38 pupils who have not made any contribution - we have sent text reminders out.

Please can you return the permission slip and payment as soon as possible to enable the trip to take place. We really dont want to have to cancel this end of primary school treat for our Year 6 pupils.
