The best attendance awards for a class attendance total last week went to:

Class 1GW in Foundation Phase with 98.3%

After School Clubs

All after-school clubs will be finishing for this term on Wednesday 4^th December (this is due to Christmas activities taking place). Clubs will start back again in the New Year.

School Closure as a Result of Severe Adverse Weather Conditions

As we are approaching the winter months with a chance of possible severe adverse weather conditions, please read the schools procedures below should the need to close the school arise.

The decision to close the school at short notice due to severe adverse weather conditions is a very difficult one, but I am sure you will all agree that issues of Health and Safety must be considered and the adequate staffing and the number of qualified First Aiders on site to ensure the proper supervision of the pupils is paramount.

To support parents with the earliest notification as possible of school closure under such circumstances, the school will undertake the following by 7.45 am:

1. Message to parents via school Text Messaging Service.
2. Post a notice on our Schools Website
3. Inform the Newport Website and Capital FM Website

1. Place notices on the school gates

We also ask parents to support other parents by informing friends who dont have access to the internet with information regarding school closures.

Primary Cluster Concert at Lliswerry High School: Thursday 5^th December 5.30pm meet / 6.00 pm start / 7.00pm finish. All FP and KS 2 choir members to attend. Parents are invited to join us at Lliswerry High School to watch the children perform. A letter with details will be sent separately to choir members.
