Keep up the good work!

End of day collection – important

Please could all parents take note that outdoor learning takes place throughout the afternoon – we finish afternoon lessons at 3.15pm.

We will bring all children inside at 3.00pm ready for end of day collection but please note that NO PARENTS should enter either yard or any learning area before 3.00pm. If you should need to collect your child earlier than this please report to the school office.

Our LRB classes end at 3.00pm so this is fine for parents to enter yard at 3.00pm or afterwards.

If you are earlier than this we ask that you kindly wait outside the main entrance on Milner Street until 3.00pm.

Thanks for your support.

Summer School Uniform

The school has a proud tradition of school uniform and we are most grateful for the continued support of parents. At St. Andrew’s Primary we aim to provide our children with a School Uniform that is FIT for Purpose and supports parents against the pressure of trying to keep up with the latest fashions.

Please note our Summer school uniform is:

Black, tailored knee-length shorts (boys and girls)

White polo shirt

RED gingham Summer dresses (not blue)

Black school sweatshirt or cardigan (with school logo if possible)

Plain BLACK shoes or trainers only

Please do not send your child in white shoes, coloured trainers, white cardigans or blue dresses.

Thank you for your continued support.

Test   Weeks

Good attendance and punctuality at school is always important, but it is especially important over the next 2 weeks, from:

Tuesday 3rd May – Friday 13th May

The children are completing their Standardised Assessment tests in Maths, Reading and spelling throughout the school.

The reading and Maths tests from Year 2 – Year 6 are National Assessment tests.

These are VERY important tests as they help to support the teacher’s assessment of the children’s progress throughout the year.

The Year 6 results are also used by the High School as a Baseline from which they group the children.

School attendance

Please note that the school doors open at 8.50am.

School starts at 9.00am and any child arriving after this time receives a late mark.

We are having a significant number of pupils arriving late each day – please ensure your child is in school at 8.50am and enters through a cloakroom door.
